VILLAVALLA is a Finnish brand designed by textile designer Mervi Pesonen. I design and produce charmingly soft scarves, blankets and shawls from Finnish sheep wool. Villavalla products are inspired by the Nordic textile tradition, weaving techniques and the beautiful colors of wool.
Finnish sheep wool is a textile material of good conscience, as its production does not use natural resources or harm animals. I mainly use undyed wool, whose harmonious natural colors are displayed beautifully in different textures. I want to create beautiful and long-lasting environmentally sustainable products. Ecology, ethics and local production are important values in my textiles.
Villavalla textiles are woven in Finland as small series production and carefully finished by hand.
The wool is spun into yarn in Hiirola and woven into a product in Hämeenlinna. I use soft worsted yarn, which is made of the highest quality long-fiber wool. The warp of the weaving machine is GOTS-certified (Global Organic Textile Standard) organic wool, which is spun into yarn in Europe. No waste material is generated in the production, as the products are woven according to dimensions, the color range is limited and all yarn material can be used in the manufacture of the products. No chemicals are used in the process.
Villavalla products wear well, and maintain their quality and appearance over the years.
Timeless patterns and colors of our quality wool textiles bring long-lasting pleasure when properly cared for. Wool is very resistant to abrasion and is ultimately compostable. The wool product does not need to be washed often, in most cases ventilation is enough to look after the product, so wool is also an environmentally friendly material.
Any person making orders in the web shop must be at least 18 years of age and he/she must hold a permanent delivery address within the delivery area of the web shop. For example, mail box addresses, hotels and other similar temporary addresses are not regarded as permanent addresses.

Prices are in euro and they include Finnish tax 24% (VAT). Postage and handling will be added automatically in all orders. We deliver via Priority mail. Orders are sent via Posti with tracking information.
We reserve the right to change prices and delivery costs.
We deliver products to the following countries; Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Norway and Switzerland.
International customers are responsible for their country’s customs, taxes, duties and/or VAT fees.
Products are ordered in the online store by transferring them to the shopping cart and paying for the contents of the shopping cart in the online payment service. All customer information is treated confidentially. The contact information requested in connection with the order will not be used for anything other than the delivery of the order or to clarify any ambiguities in it, unless otherwise stated. When ordering from the online store, you are required to read and agree to the current delivery terms.

Once we have received your order, we will email you an order confirmation showing your order details. Check the contents of the order confirmation. Delivery time
Delivery time to Finland is 4-7 business days. Delivery time abroad depends of the destination country. We will notify you of any delays immediately after ordering.
We will not be liable for any delays caused by force majeure or for any indirect inconvenience caused by the delays. The online store informs about different delivery times on its website.
Returns
If you are not fully satisfied with our order, you may return purchased products within 14 days from the date on which you received them. The returned products must be returned complete and unused in their original packaging.

After we have received the returned products and checked that the products meet all requirements, we will return the sum of the order. We will process the refund using the payment method you used for your original payment.
Unfortunately, the cost of delivery cannot be refunded. We will refund delivery and return costs only if the product we have sent is incorrect or faulty.
Please note that you are responsible for the product until it reaches us.
